Visualization of a Social Network
This project from my Graphic Design 3 course (Information Design) was by far the largest, most difficult, and most time consuming assignment I have ever given. We began by collecting huge amounts of data from every friend we had on facebook. That data was then visualized using a number of methods to show mutual friend connections, other networks, age, location, and sometimes other sets of data. I designed my own data visualization with my students to help them along and give them insight into how I would conquer the problem.
